Goal of the programme: to obtain deep knowledge, experience and skills in plastic, reconstructive und aesthetic surgery speciality and in operations which renovate or improve appearance or function after injuries, acquired defects or age changes or correct pathological conditions (including thermal burns).

CONTENT OF THE PROGRAMME

Theoretical education is based on theoretical seminars. According to study programme length certain number of seminars are organized. Practical education in a form of study courses.

STUDY OUTCOMES

Knowledge

Deep knowledge in topographic and pathological anatomy, in diagnosing congenital or acquired pathologies, different conditions caused by age, thermal injury or other injuries. Deep knowledge in specific diagnosing methods, wound treating and possible complication treatment. Good knowledge to pass final board exams.

Skills

Finishing residency is skilled to work and use knowledge independently in plastic surgery, to operate plastic surgery patients, to understand medical documentation, literature and terminology.

Competencies

After state exam examinations (certified plastic surgeon) be competent at work as plastic surgeon.

Tests

Knowledge tests after each study course and the Residency state exam at the end of the study programme.
