RSU Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy offers a number of topics (see table below) for student research activities on the basis of the following scientific priorities:

  • Mental health,
  • Psychotherapy quality assessment tool development and implementation,
  • Stress in Latvia: monitoring, clinical analysis, epidemiological surveillance programs, treatment and prevention methodologies effectiveness assessment,
  • Stress and Post-traumatic stress disorder in risk groups: pathogenesis, clinic, diagnostics, prevention, intervention and rehabilitation techniques,
  • Doctor and patient relationships, personalized medicine.
