On 14 October a group of 21 pupils from Christianeum Hamburg Secondary School (Germany) accompanied by two teachers visited Rīga Stradiņš University.

RSU Admissions Officer Renāte Zakutajeva gave a presentation on English-taught study programmes offered by RSU, international cooperation directions and gave answers to various questions. The initiative to visit RSU belongs to the teachers, as this September former student Moritz Conradi was enrolled to RSU study programme “Medicine”. Guests from Germany expressed their satisfaction with the visit. “We truly enjoyed the presentation on study opportunities for international students offered by RSU. We were very warmly welcomed and we got all our questions answered”, said Clara Gyrolle.

Currently, students from Germany comprise the largest share of international students at RSU – nearly 800 students that constitute 42% of the total student body. 730 of them study medicine, whereas 68 students were enrolled to the dentistry programme. This semester RSU also welcomed 16 exchange students from Germany with Erasmus+ exchange programme. Germany is a popular destination for exchange students from Latvia.
