Health and Personality Development 2017 conference announcement

Psychologists, art therapists, supervisors, teachers, social workers, health care professionals, representatives of other helping professions and students are warmly invited to participate in the 3rd international scientific practical conference Health and Personality Development: Integrative Approach to be held 27–29 April 2017 at Rīga Stradiņš University.

The purposes

  • Present and get acquainted with new studies in psychology, supervision, art therapy

  • Get acquainted with the latest studies and experiences in the fields of practice of international professionals

  • Develop contacts with colleagues and promote collaboration

The topics

  • Validation of verbal and visual assessment instruments for professional practice

  • Work with different clients' and patients' groups

  • E-interventions

  • Health behaviour

  • Personality traits and characteristics

  • The individual in a social environment

  • Professional competencies

The organisers

Department of Health Psychology and Pedagogy of Rīga Stradiņš University in collaboration with:

  • Latvian Health Psychology Association

  • Latvian Association of Rehabilitation Professional Organisations

  • Latvian Counselling Psychology Association

  • Union of Latvian Art Therapy Associations

  • Latvian Association of Supervisors

The following international professionals have already confirmed participation:  Ph.D., prof. Reinout W. Wiers, University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), Ph.D., senior lecturer Efrat Neter and Ph.D., prof. Ada Zohar, Ruppin Academic Center (Israel), Dr.psych., prof. Antanas Gostautas, Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), M.A., prof. Roswitha Bader, Nurtingen Geislingen University (Germany).

The conference will span three days:

Thursday, 27 April – student and graduate conference;

Friday, 28 April – presentations of visiting lecturers and presentations of results of national/ other research projects;

Saturday, 29 April – workshops.

Languages: Latvian, English.

Registration

In order to submit your application, we kindly ask you to fill out the registration form till 25 March 2017. In case you are planning to participate with a presentation at the conference, please specify your topic. Participation is free of charge.

Each participant will be awarded 36 Continuing Education points. Certificates of attendance will be e-mailed to the address you will have specified in your registration form.
