Once in a year, on the fourth Friday in September, Researchers’ Night is held at RSU to celebrate science and research and find out how they impact our lives. Together with more than 30 European countries, Rīga Stradiņš University is going to open its doors on Friday, 23rd of September, starting at 17:00. The theme of the Researchers’ Night is Amazing Chemistry, which will give you the opportunity to see various chemistry experiments and demonstrations. Hands-on workshops and speeches will also be held during the event.
The main building of Rīga Stradiņš University at 16 Dzirciema Street and RSU Institute of Dentistry at 20 Dzirciema Street will be open to all visitors, including RSU students. The concept of Reseachers’ Night is very similar to that of the cultural event Night of Museum when everybody can access and see places for free, including such that are normally closed to general public.
Rīga Stradiņš University has prepared a colourful programme that includes experiments and demonstrations like Chemical Garden, Magic Masher, Dancing Starch, Tattoo Salon, professor and researcher workshops on Household Chemicals, Non-Biological Implants in Human Bodies, Live Molecule World, the movie How Drugs are Created, and many other activities.
At the Institute of Dentistry, visitors will be able to practice tooth drilling and filling. In the backyard of Rīga Stradiņš University, at 21:00, anyone can join in and watch the coming of a rainbow.
See you at Researchers’ Night!
