From 13 to 15 May, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will be hosting the first Baltic Conference “Immunological Modelling: Theory and Practice” with researchers from more than 14 countries. The aim of the conference is to discuss the current tendencies in immunological modelling and their application in the field of infectious disease research.
The conference is being organised within the 7th Framework Programme (REGPOT) project “Unlocking infectious diseases research potential at Rīga Stradiņš University” (Baltinfect).
According to the conference organisers, immunological modelling is a relatively new method of research in medicine enabling to apply statistics and computer modelling in studying functions and processes of the immune system.
Leading researchers from Germany, Israel, Italy, Sweden, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are expected to deliver speeches during the conference. Researchers from institutions of higher education and scientific institutes are kindly welcome to participate in the conference.
