This year Science Night at Rīga Stradiņš University features lots of spectacular activities with light as a central topic. Come along and learn about various processes that occur within the human body through the perspective of light and discover the role of light in multimedia.

A team of professionals of various fields of medicine will be on hand to reveal the way light helps seeing and discovering various bacteria and you will learn how the microscope works.
In addition, discover the structure of the eye and examine your eyes. Get to know how to reduce your risk for eye diseases, learn about the diagnostic equipment and the role of light in dentistry.
Engage yourself in the making of multimedia content – photographs and videos. Representatives of RSU Department of Communication will reveal how the properties of the light are used in processing of information and sharing it to the public.
RSU Museum will acquaint you with the role of light in photography – see the photos from the collection of the museum and follow the development of photography for the past 65 years.
The museum of The Anatomical Theatre will be open to the public during the Science Night.
