A workshop themed “Licensing as one of the exploitation channels for public research results in biotech and life sciences” will be held at Rīga Stradiņš University on Tuesday, 5 April. The workshop is organised within the framework of the Baltinfect project.
The purpose of this workshop is to consider the issues related to the licensing as one of the commercialisation channels and also see practical examples in biotech and medicine sectors from Technical University Munich.

The workshop will be led by Dr Alexandros Papaderos, Head of Patents and Licenses at TUM ForTe – Office for Research and Innovation, Technical University Munich (TUM). Spanning over 11 years, his experience covers cooperation between science and industry, including foundation of university start-ups and spin-offs, licensing deals and areas of contract research, collaboration, strategic partnerships with industry.
