A large scale renovation project has completed at RSU this autumn as one of the most important parts of the university's main building has been reconstructed. With the aid of the European Regional Development Fund, a sum in excess of 1.2 million lats has been invested in the renovation of the seven-storey block which houses several laboratory and lecture rooms.
On 19 and 20 October, Rīga will be hosting a symposium on new trends in biomaterial science, bone tissue engineering, experimental and clinical work devoted to possibilities of replacing autologous and other bone grafts by bioceramic scaffolds loaded with different cells including stem cells.
