The European academic network linking interdisciplinary integration studies unites 67 institutions of higher education and research from EU member states and other European countries in a project called LISBOAN. Its aim is to strengthen cooperation among European scholars with a view of better understanding of the Lisbon Treaty which entered into force in 2009. Based on RSU’s Regional Economic & Business Environment initiative, the LISBOAN Steering Committee has established a Working Group on “Teaching Lisbon”.
Rīga Stradiņš University’s medical, healthcare, political and communications study programmes have earned the highest rating, show the recent Higher Education Council's official reports on study directions provided by RSU. The evaluation of RSU study programmes was carried out in the spring of 2012 under the framework of the European Social Fund’s project “Higher Education Curriculum for Quality Assessment and Improvement”.
Applications from prospective international students looking forward to commencing studies at RSU in September 2012 are now accepted.
