Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. RSU Alumni Association has initiated the sending of creative love letters to your university, your Alma Mater. You may send photos, poetry, video or any other confession of love to your university. RSU means something different to everyone, but what does it mean to you?

On 22nd of August, a letter of Intent was signed at Rīga Stradiņš University with the aim to grant the university 200,000 lats. Within the proposed agreement, establishment of “Maecenas Boriss Teterevs’ scholarships in Medicine”, “Academy of Intelligence” and “Support Grants by Maecenas Boriss Teterevs” are anticipated.
On the 18th of August, a Letter of Intent about establishing “SEB bank Scholarship of Excellence” was signed at Rīga Stradiņš University. It is the first private scholarship fund meant for students of RSU Faculty of Communications, Faculty of Law and Faculty of European Studies. Since RSU social sciences students do not have state budget places, they also cannot apply for state scholarship, therefore, “SEB bank Scholarship of Excellence” is a remarkable event. A 70-lat monthly scholarship payment to three top RSU Social Science students for 10 months is anticipated by the fund. The scholarship contest will start in September of this year.
Dear Graduates of Rīga Stradiņš University:
Congratulations on your graduation and joining our Alumni team. On behalf of RSU Alumni Association I wish you all to use the obtained knowledge skilfully, not to stop in self-development throughout your lives and donate your intellectual property for the benefit of our land. I wish you to make fewer failures in your lives, but also remember that only those who do nothing make no mistakes.
On April 19th, in cooperation with the non-governmental organization “Aicinajums Tev” from the town of Sigulda, we helped celebrate Easter at the social care center “Teika” for kids with mental retardation. The play performed by organization “Aicinajums Tev” and later the dancing and singing spread some genuine joy among the kids. We were happy to give as a present long desired music instrument djembe.
Among the 3000 people that agreed to be shadowed this year, there were also alumni of RSU.
