The best (and cheapest) option is bus No. 22. When going to the city centre get off is “Stockmann centrs”. To get to the Airport, get on at stop “13. janvāra iela” (in front of Avalon hotel). The bus stop at the Airport is called “Lidosta Rīga”. The trip takes about 45 minutes and costs EUR 1.15 (when buying one drive in a kiosk or ticket machine) or EUR 2.00 (when buying from the bus driver). (Read more here.)

Taxis are more expensive (EUR 10.00-15.00) but can take you to the exact address that you order.

Is there a student hostel to stay at?

Yes, rooms are available at RSU Student Hostel, however, the number of rooms and places is limited. The rooms are equipped with two single beds, a wardrobe divided into two separate parts, a desk and chairs. Since all rooms are on the same floor, kitchens (2), showers (2, 4 shower stalls) and washing machines (2) are for common use.
