Rehabilitation is one of the most dynamic fields of medicine and healthcare, purpose of which is facilitation of restoration of physical, sensory, and mental capabilities of people who through a combination of illness and age or other circumstances have developed health related functional limitations. A proper and adequate rehabilitation program can reduce many disabling conditions or can help patients to cope with functional limitations that cannot be reversed by medical care.

The vivid development of the rehabilitation field is also denoted by the extensive incresase in the number of study programmes offered by the Faculty of Rehabilitation of RSU: started in 1993 with the sole undergraduate study programme in Physiotherapy, the Faculty has nowadays grown into an entity that offers the widest opportunities for emerging specialists bound to take care for the prevention and restoration of people’s health.
