Institute of Occupational safety and environmental health (IOSEH) is an academic, scientific and training institution that is structural unit (agency) of Riga Stradins university.

IOSEH have following functions:

• Training both for undergraduate (in several faculties on topics concerning occupational health and safety, occupational medicine and environmental health) and postgraduate students (medical doctors, master and doctoral students etc.);
• Scientific research (fundamental and applied) in various fields of occupational health and safety;
• information services on occupational health and safety issues (publications, information campaigns etc.);
• expert consulting services (laboratory  in the field of health protection and safety at work.

IOSEH has more than 40 years of working experience. IOSEH includes Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and Laboratory of Hygiene and occupational diseases as structural part and is working in close collaboration with Center of Occupational and Radiological medicine of Clinical university hospital.
