Erasmus students are invited to participate in the orientation or welcoming week for arriving 1st year students.

The orientation week usually takes place during the last week before the autumn and spring semesters. The aim of this week is to provide necessary support, practical information and friendly assistance to international students who begin their studies at the RSU. The orientation week is organised by the RSU International Office. 

Throughout the orientation week, international students:

• receive practical information about Riga and Latvia;
• receive useful information about the RSU and the study process;
• get to know their group mates and other international students;
• settle in;
• form documents;
• acquire a buddy to help them;
• go on several guided tours around Riga and Latvia;
• go to the international student "Welcoming Party"!
