Two methods of molecular diagnostics have been developed and received validation, verification, and the registration of these methods as medical technologies has begun:
HHV-6 DNS sequencing with nPCR (PCR with inner priming);
HHV-7 DNS sequencing with nPCR (PCR with inner priming).
These methods offer to use high sensitivity polymerase chain reactions with inner priming to detect latent/persistent HHV-6 and HHV-7 infections (High Sensitivity Nested Polymerase Chain reaction (nPCR) for detection of latent/persistent HHV-6 and HHV-7 infections.
The potential users of these technologies are all medical institutions with PCR equipment and respective competences (Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital), RECUH (Rīga Eastern Clinical University Hospital), IFSAHE (Institute for Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment), E. Gulbja Laboratorija, NMS laboratorija and others.
Partially developed glycopeptide preparations (for oral consumption and in ointment form) that may help increase the life quality of psoriasis patients. In order to perform clinical observations, collaboration with a skin disease department is necessary.
