Main scientific services of the Institute for Occupational Safety and Environmental Health:

  • Development of criteria for assessment of psychosocial occupational environment risk factors;

  • Occupational environment risk factors for persons working in wood processing industry;

  • Monitoring of persons working in chemico-pharmacological industry and development of preventive measures for preventing occupational diseases;

Training

The Institute for Occupational Safety and Environmental Health performs training of students from various faculties of the Rīga Stradiņš University in the field of environmental and occupational medicine, and organises post-graduate courses for various specialists and interested persons in the field of occupational safety. Every year students from various faculties from the Rīga Stradiņš University, University of Latvia, and other institutions of higher education work out their course papers, Bachelor’s Papers, Master’s Thesis, and Doctoral Thesis.
