Ageing: biological ageing factors and quality of life in Latvian population

  • Google plus

The major collaborative research programme in ageing, funded by the Latvian Council of Science, is the core basis for this strain of research. The main basis of research is the Institute of Anatomy and Anthropology (AAI). More than 20 impact publications have been produced, several of them, elaborated together with leading US research groups, have a high citation index. The future of this research lies in the collaboration with European research groups, already ongoing in the European Research Area (ERA) through participation in the ERA-AGE as part of the European Innovation Partnership Active and Healthy Ageing.
