Priority III - Riga Stradiņš University

Endogenous and exogenous risk factors in Latvia, comprehensive analysis of public health determinants

  • Google plus

Research has been mostly carried out through participation in large transnational research groups, precisely designed investigation plans applied to representative populations. Very unique long-term research, based on a unique cohort, has been produced on Chernobyl NPS accident consequences in affected populations. The Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health (IOEH) has a public function assigned by law in the area of research on occupational risk prevention. Several rare disease studies in Latvia have been part of this priority.
