Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) is a leading academic research institution in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, rehabilitation and nursing sciences in the Republic of Latvia. RSU also carries out significant research in various fields of the social sciences, humanities and law, as well as technical sciences in relation to application in medicine.

RSU holds a unique place in the scientific field in Latvia, providing a full research translation cycle from laboratories to the beds of patients. This applies to such important research fields as oncology, infections, paediatrics, rehabilitation and dentistry, in particular. An ever-increasing attention is paid to the transfer of knowledge and technologies by integrating knowledge in the basic functions of the university, but also transforming knowledge in to products and services that are useful to the society.
