RSU students and employees are welcome to leave their children aged 3 to 7 years for periods of up to 4 hours per day at the RSU Day Nursery.

While parents are studying or working, the children will be engaged in various activities, like playing board games, drawing and painting, moulding with modelling clay etc. Children will also be engaged in various learning activities. The service is free of charge.

Keep in mind!

  • Before you leave your child in the “Cribs”, you will have to sign an agreement, indicating the approximate pick-up time.

  • Parents must be reachable at all times to the number indicated in the agreement.

  • The child must be dressed appropriately for indoor activities. Coats and outdoor footwear must be left in the cloakroom.

  • If the child needs special care or they have allergies, the staff must be notified thereof. Depending on the severity of the case, the staff are authorised to refuse the stay of the child at the “Cribs”.

  • Children are not allowed to bring food and drinks with them.

  • Throughout the stay at the “Cribs”, children are not provided with any food or sleeping arrangements.

  • Drinking water is available in the “Cribs”, and there are children’s potties and bathrooms in the ladies' room next door to the “Cribs”.

  • No more than 10 children at a time will be allowed in the “Cribs”, therefore parents are asked to call in advance (+371 67 060 808) and reserve a spot for their children.

This initiative comes as a response to a survey carried out in 2013 at RSU, and suggestions made by RSU employees and students alike. The project is overseen by the RSU Infrastructure Department, who in the next three months will continue with various surveys to decide on the future of the “Cribs”, depending on the demands of the clients.
