RSU Statistics Unit aims to foster scientific researches by RSU academic staff, doctoral, residency, Master’s students, as well as undergraduate students and provide services related to processing of statistical data in medicine.
On 2 and 5 October, the Statistics Unit of Riga Stradiņš University hosted guest lectures on clinical trials. The guest lectures was led by guest lecturers from Chalmers University of Technology Professor Ziad Taib and Associate Professor Krista Fischer, University of Tartu.
RSU Statistics Unit of the Faculty of Medicine and A. Kirchenstein Institute of Microbiology and Virology will represent Latvia in the COST Action project EUROMENE (European Network on myalgic encephalomyelitis and chronic fatigue syndrome ME/CFS).
The Statistics Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, RSU, is organising guest lectures on social determinants of medicine and their analyses 5–7 December at 9 Kronvalda Boulevard, Auditorium P-11, Faculty of Public Health and Social Welfare. The lectures will be presented by Ieva Reine, PhD in social medicine, researcher at Uppsala University, Sweden.
The Riga Stradiņš University, Statistics Unit of the Faculty of Medicine is organizing guest lectures on cancer epidemiology to be held on 8th and 9th of December in the premises of the Institute of Anatomy and Anthropology, Column Hall, 9 Kronvalda Blvd. The lectures will be presented by the Professor of Public Health and Epidemiology of the University of Tampere, Prof. Eero Pukkala.
Owing to the scholarship granted by the Foundation of Boris and Inara Teterev, on 1 and 2 June, the Statistics Unit of Rīga Stradiņš University hosted a workshop on data processing methods led by guest lecturer from the University of Gothenburg, founder of its Health Metrics Unit and researcher of Karolinska Institute (Sweden) Professor Max Petzold.
