For the fifth year in a row, the students of Latvia will celebrate the “Festivities of Love”. This year the event will take place from February 11th – 12th. Annually, “Festivities of Love” is held to reach a social objective – to donate blood.

The event will bring together Latvian and international students from four universities and institutions of higher education: Riga Technical University (RTU), Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), School of Business Administration (BAT) and Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration (RSEBA).

All blood donors, besides the compulsory state compensation, which is Ls 3, will also receive free tickets to the event in Līvu Aquapark on February 12th, where students will be able to enjoy the pleasures of water, and party in the rhythms of DJ Roberts Lejasmeijers. Each donor will also participate in a lottery, in which the main prize will be a cruise with Tallink.

You can donate blood from February 3rd – 4th in the National Blood Donor Centre located at 6 Sēlpils Street (map). RSU students will receive Aquapark tickets by presenting a donors receipt at the RSU Student Government in Room K-103.

The closing event of “Festivities of Love” will take place on February 11th in Club Essential and Club Godvil. Students will party with the best DJs from Latvia, and additionally there will be warm-blooded dance shows, competitions and surprises for all lovers.

At the Club Essential students will be able to enjoy the bands “Double Faced Eels” and “Gain Fast”, the singer Jenny May and the best DJs of Latvia: DJ Crash, DJ Deros, DJ Franz Kolms and European Hit Radio DJ Kreilis Martins, BCA & ROSME Lingerie Show and Cheerleader Show. You will also see the finale of the “Kissing Contest”.

Bands “Otra Puse” and “TāTāTā” with an acoustic concert, DJ Kress and percussionist Rafels, DJ Peter aka PARTYPAPA will perform at the Club Godvil. Additionally, visitors will be pleasantly surprised by various shows: Glow Show, Glam Show, and Magnificent Bartender flaring show.

Tickets for the closing event can be purchased at www.bezrindas.lv. The price in advance is 4 Ls. Tickets bought on the spot will cost 5 Ls. One ticket is valid for both venues – Club Essential and Club Godvil – you can try and visit both clubs that night (with the same ticket free of charge in the other club).
