The purpose of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) academic society Anatomy Circle is to promote the interest of medical students in the field of anatomy.

Invest in anatomy!

Throughout history, anatomy has been arguably the most fascinating part of the human form, providing the foundation not only for medicine, but also for sports and art. RSU organises an excellent course in human anatomy, but what about those students who want to go above and beyond?

The RSU Anatomy Circle was founded in 2016 with the aim to promote peer-to-peer learning and provide extracurricular activities in the field of anatomy for interested students. During the academic year, the  Anatomy Circle organises both theoretical and practical sessions. In the theoretical sessions, students give presentations they have prepared themselves. These are a key component of learning and revising specific anatomical areas and topics. For some years already, the practical meetings have revolved around dissection, providing a community and guidance both for new students and those with more experience. The Anatomy Circle also collaborates with other academic societies and is set to promote student research opportunities in the field of anatomy.

All of our activities are open for both Latvian and international RSU students. Whether you are a student in the first semester wanting to deepen your anatomical knowledge, or in your last semester more interested in how anatomy relates to clinical application, join the sessions and invest in your future!

Follow the Anatomy Circle on social media to be notified about the latest sessions and news. If you have any questions or a specific topic in mind you would like us to cover, do not hesitate to contact us!
