Dentistry Interest Group

Founded in the autumn of 2020 the Dentistry Interest Group is the newest interest group at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) .

Dentistry is a medical field that deals with the research and diagnosis of diseases affecting the oral cavity, the jaw and adjacent structures. Students from both the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Medicine who are interested in the relationship between the oral cavity and the general organism, diagnostics of various diseases of the oral cavity and the surrounding structures as well as disease prevention, are welcome to join the group. One of the group's primary goals is to encourage and assist students to develop research papers.

6 theoretical and 2 practical meetings are planned during the course of the academic year. They will take place under the guidance of the best specialists in Latvia. At each meeting, both members and guests of the group will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and information about the most current topics in the field of dentistry, as well as to acquire and improve their practical skills. It is planned that the Dentistry Interest Group will conduct joint meetings with other interest groups, thus giving students the opportunity to expand their range of knowledge.
