Preliminary Knowledge:
General psychology, the Foundations of social Sciences, Economics and Organization management.
Objective:
Provide the students with knowledge of health care management, organisation culture, motivation of work, change implementation, develop the leadership skills for nurses and midwives.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Students prepare and present an analysis of their study in the field of organisation management and leadership, as well as carry out a practical analysis of the management of the organisation, plan an effective strategy for the implementation of change.
Assessment Criteria:
Active participation in activities – presentation of own-initiative works – learners prepare and present a study analysis in the field of organisation management and leadership, as well as a practical analysis of organisation leadership, plan an effective strategy for the implementation of change. Class participation (50%), test at the end of the semester (50%).

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:As a result of course acquisition, students will acquire knowledge of the theories of motivation and leadership in the work of nurses, different aspects of staff management.
Skills:Students will be able to identify basic principles for the operation of the nurse leader, to differentiate between the characteristics of the structure, to analyse staff reactions and to describe the preconditions for effective management of the work of nurses.
Competencies:On course completion, students will be able to assess the motivation of employees, analyse staff management and psychological processes within the organisation, carry out effective management of change, implement the organizational strategy and develop individual personality.
