Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:To describe and systematise the chain of transmission of certain infectious diseases. To outline and discuss the procedures for registration of epidemiological surveillance of infectious diseases. To identify and justify the basic principles of managing epidemiological emergencies.
Skills:To carry out and explain the registration of cases of infection in accordance with the established registration procedures. To analyse examples of epidemiological emergencies, assess the gravity of the situation and make recommendations.
Competencies:To systematise and critically evaluate all available information on the epidemiological situation, develop and justify the most appropriate epidemiological control measures and an action plan to deal with the epidemiological emergency.
