Objective

Promote the acquisition of knowledge about criteria of mental health and the role of prevention of physical disorders and diseases.

Prerequisites

Prior knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of nervous system.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

On completion of the study course students will acquire basic knowledge of psychotherapy, techniques of supportive psychotherapy and competence in building therapeutic physiotherapist - patient relationship.

Skills

On course completion students will develop skills in building a therapeutic physiotherapist - patient relationship and also to provide emotional support.

Competence

Students will be able to understand and analyze the need for psychotherapy in patients with emotional disorders, understand the diagnostic criteria and the need for combination of therapies.
