Objective

To improve the understanding of human resource management policies, functions and principles of sustainable business activities in the context of lifelong learning, to stimulate students for systematic improvement of knowledge and skills in personnel management.

Prerequisites

Fundamentals of management, psychology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Students describe the role of human resource management to achieve the goals of the organisation, gain an understanding of the organisation as a social system and the most outstanding personnel management and explain use of socionics as an opportunity in personnel management.

Skills

Students are able to use the acquired theoretical knowledge for development of personnel policy; to evaluate the organisation of personnel management; to determine the types of persons and level of compliance with requirements for specific functions; formulate and analytically describe the information, problems and solutions in personnel management; work in partnership with others to plan and organise work in order to carry out certain tasks; take responsibility and initiative in carrying out work individually or in a team; structure own learning.

Competence

Students understand the relations within organisation; access, select and analyse information on personnel management independently; identify development opportunities for staff management in organisation.
