Preliminary Knowledge:
Acquisition of the courses "Basics of Law" or "Introduction to Law" at Bachelor’s level.
Objective:
The aim of the course is to enhance the graduate students’ understanding of rights, their role and application in professional activity, including getting insight into the nature of employment rights, copyright and neighbouring rights, focusing on legal aspects of the relations between the individual and the state (the government), as well as to develop the ability to analyse specific situations and to become aware of the necessity to comply with the regulatory enactments.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
To prepare two case analyses. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria:
1. The student has participated in at least 75% of classes. 2. Timely prepared and submitted case analyses (50%). 3. Passed written examination (50%).

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Students have the knowledge of basic legal concepts, areas, legislative system and are able to orient themselves with regard to legal framework of human rights, legal transaction and Contract Law, commercial activities and non-governmental activities. Students have in-depth knowledge and understanding of communication-related matters, among them copyright and neighbouring rights, freedom of expression, legal aspects of relationship between private persons and public administration.
Skills:Students are able to choose the regulatory framework for the specific problem by demonstrating their comprehension of the functioning of each legal regulation, critically analyse and reasonably justify the choice of a normative act in the given problem case.
Competencies:Analyse and evaluate the applicability of legislation; choose the appropriate applicable regulatory enactments, principles of law and the method of application in solution of a specific problem.
