METC Clinical Study Centre

RSU METC Clinical Study Centre is the largest study base at a Latvian hospital. The centre embodies the educational function included in the name of Riga East Clinical University Hospital (RAKUS), ensuring an excellent quality of education and RSU's contribution to the patient care system as a whole.

Investing 943 thousand EUR, RSU has modernised and adapted to modern requirements the study premises of the former 13th building of RAKUS in the area of 1042 m2. The premises are intended for simultaneous training of 304 students, ensuring the acquisition of theoretical and clinical study courses alongside the actual work in the hospital. In total, seven auditoriums have been established in the Study Center. There are also 140 m2 recreation areas with 32 stationary workplaces for students.

The center hosts the RSU Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Infectology and Dermatology, as well as Radiology students' learning process, as well as various events organized by students, lecturers and medical staff - conferences, seminars, olympiads, refresher courses, summer schools, symposiums etc.
