Delegations from Beijing Institute of Technology visits RSU

To facilitate student mobility, Riga Stradiņš University welcomed a delegation from Beijing Institute of Technology on 25 November. The visiting delegation comprised Wang Ying, Director of the International Students’ Department, Li Jianghong, Head of the International Students Office, and Zhu Weihua, Exchange Programme Coordinator.

During the visit the delegation from Beijing Institute of Technology met with RSU Vice-Rector for Education Prof. Tatjana Koķe, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law Jānis Grasis, Head of the Confucius Centre Una Aleksandra Bērziņa Čerenkova and Head of the International Admissions Office Māris Ginters.

The foreign delegation shared information about study possibilities offered by the Institute for RSU students. The Head of the International Admissions Office Māris Ginters gave a presentation on Rīga Stradiņš University, followed by a visit to the Confucius Centre and a guided tour around the university. In the morning the foreign delegation was offered a walking tour through the Old Town.

The cooperation between RSU and Beijing Institute of Technology was launched in the beginning of 2016 when both educational establishments entered into a cooperation agreement under the Chinese Government Scholarship Program. Within the framework of the program, five RSU graduate and post-graduate students of law, likewise post-graduates in business administration are given the possibility to go to Beijing to study in English for one or two semesters. The provided scholarship covers tuition fee and living costs.
