Learning outcomes


Student will gain basic knowledge of patient care, about recovery promoting factors. Will demonstrate comprehension of the latest medical technologies used in clinical care.


Student will assess the patient’s condition and practically perform clinical procedures; prepare and administer the prescribed medication to the patient; provide intravenous access with a needle and peripheral venous catheter and intravenously administer medication, using suitable equipment; determine patient’s vital signs and indicators; accurately collect blood, urine, stool, sputum and other samples for laboratory tests; carry out procedures associated with the digestive tract (probing, enemas, care of intestinal stoma, tube-feeding the patient, etc.); carry out heat and cold treatment; document the prescribed and performed procedures.


Will show ability to apply and assess the appropriate clinical procedures, medical devices and other activities to ensure optimal patient care. Will be able to analyse situations, argue, logically express and explain own opinion.
