About Study Course
Objective
To promote creative thinking. To acquire knowledge of the different creative activities. Develop understanding of the role of creative activities in occupational therapy process. Acquire skills to use creative activities in treatment of patients/clients with different diagnosis. Acquire skills to plan, manage group work, make a group work evaluation, design documentation and to develop/improve student skills of a leader.
Prerequisites
Knowledge in pediatry, psychiatry, neurology, psychology and conceptual praxis models.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to name and describe the creative activities and explain them in a multicultural context, explain the creative activity and creativity in occupational therapy, the theoretical arguments of creative activities, the creative activity as one of the methods of the patient/client's treatment, select the appropriate creative activities for patient/client groups with different dysfunctions, define the concept of creativity and its role in occupational therapy.
The student will be able to justify the creative activities of use in therapy, will be able to use creative activities as a treatment method, will acquire the skills to use creative activities in group work, compare various creative activities, demonstrate leadership skills in team management, will acquire the skills to record group work protocols and other documents. To evaluate the impact of the creative activities on different age of patient/client groups with physical and mental dysfunctions. Critically analyse literature.
Using the acquired knowledge and skills a student will be able to use creative activities as one of the methods in the occupational therapy. A student will be able to develop treatment plan using appropriate creative activities, modify it if necessary. A student will be able to plan, organize, manage and record documentation, to evaluate and analyze information.
