Objective

Gain knowledge and promote skills to implement an evidence - based care process using the newest in evidence-based scientific advances.

Prerequisites

Philosophy and medical ethics, propaedeutics, an introduction to the library to use, medical terminology in a foreign language, concept of health.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Gained basic knowledge and understanding of the concept, meaning and possibilities of evidence-based care, research methodology and terminology, selection and processing of sources of professional information.

Skills

Students develop skills to use research methodology and terminology, and to use evidence based professional information.
Evaluate the latest evidence-based research and, according to the clinical situation, integrate it into care work.

Competence

As a result of the study course, students develop competence: the ability to implement evidence-based care using research methodology and terminology and the ability to apply evidence-based scientific achievements in nursing practice.
