About Study Course
Objective
to develop the students’ skills to assess facial and dental harmony, to determine and evaluate tooth colour and shape, and to identify changes in occlusion. To improve treatment planning skills for aesthetic dental prosthetics and assessing a long-term prognosis of the planned restoration.
Prerequisites
Human anatomy, dental anatomy, craniofacial aspects, physics and biomaterials, roentgenology-radiology, normal physiology, diagnosis and oral pathology, preclinic in prosthetics and dental technique
Learning outcomes
After successful completion of the study course students will be able to define patient’s aesthetic problems, select optimal aesthetical restoration type and present treatment plan. Students will be able to describe stages of treatment, methods and materials used for treatment.
Upon successful completion of the study course students will be able to make a treatment plan focusing on aesthetics restoration for simple clinical situations and prepare teeth on phantom for aesthetic restoration.
In drawing up the treatment plan students will be able to organize, process and interpret information gathered during the clinical examination.
