Learning outcomes

Knowledge

As a result of the study course, the student will be able to outline the normal function of organs, how to distinguish it from abnormal, and how to influence the organ in order to normalize its function. Will recognize the pathological features of the body functions. Will know the mechanisms that affect the body's adaptation to physical activity in different age groups. Will understand the effects of physical activity on organs and the body as a whole for athletes of different ages.

Skills

The student will be able to apply theoretical knowledge and the most commonly used methods of investigation, for example – pulse determination, measurement of arterial blood pressure. Focus on the most commonly used load control and planning techniques, such as electrocardiogram, load capacity estimation, oxygen consumption and metabolic rate assessments.

Competence

Will know how to evaluate the most commonly used methods of investigation, such as pulse reduction, measurement of arterial blood pressure. Students will learn simple methods for load effects determination.
