Objective

The course aims to help students gain a deeper appreciation of how the world of global governance works, as well as the margins of maneuverability within it for improving outcomes, considering that the system of global governance poses constraints and opportunities for policy whether you operate in the public, private or civil sectors, at national or international levels.

Prerequisites

Students should have basic knowledge about international relations and international processes.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Students will be able to characterise the principles of international governance as well as identify the challenges of international governance.

Skills

Students will be able to identify elements, which are necessary for the analysis of international governance systems.

Competence

Students will be able to analyse multi-polarity, bipolarity and uni-polarity of international governance systems from a historic perspective, and apply it in a contemporary context.
