About Study Course
Objective
Promote the lawyer’s understanding of the development and system of labour law, and promote the ability to focus on issues related to the practical application of labour law, provide the opportunity for enriching theoretical knowledge and solving practical cases.
Prerequisites
Introduction to Civil Law, Legal Theory, Logic, Administrative Law. General knowledge of law.
Learning outcomes
The student understands labour law issues and knows theoretical legal provisions and their practical interpretation, such as subjects and system of labour law; main stages of labour law: establishment of employment legal relations, liabilities of the employer and the employee, the organisation of work and termination of employment legal relations; the system of remuneration in the public and private sectors; dispute settlement and social dialogue.
The student is able to demonstrate understanding of the most important concepts and regularities of labour law.
The student will have acquired skills of systematising and analysing legal texts, theoretical literature and case law; they will be able to provide a summary, to evaluate cases in employment law and provide a legal solution. Students are able to discuss and offer solutions to practical situations, including drafting legal documents required for practical cases. They are able to organise their work independently.
Students have reached a competence in legal regulation of employment rights; are able to plan and organise their work, to select legal norms, analyse and apply them; are able to present and justify their own opinion, interpret legal provisions and solve cases.
