Objective

Students should acquire knowledge about the interaction of psychic and somatic processes and develop the skill of building a therapeutic relationship with the patient.

An idea of the dual, scientific and humanitarian nature of psychic processes.

Knowledge

Knowledge of the interaction of psychic and somatic processes and competence in the formation of a therapeutic relationship between a prosthetic orthotic specialist and a patient.

Skills to make therapeutical relationships with patients and to provide emotional support.

To analyse the role of physical, emotional and social factors in etiology and pathogenesis of disease.
