About Study Course
Objective
To obtain more knowledge about relevant topics, to be able to evaluate patients with respiratory system diseases, to evaluate the pathological process features and treatment options for certain patients at different treatment phases.
Prerequisites
Anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of respiratory system.
Physical examination of respiratory system.
Radiological methods in pneumonology.
Pharmacology of respiratory system.
Learning outcomes
With acquired knowledge students will know:
• different diseases of respiratory system;
• how to examine patients with lung disease;
• treatment options for specific diagnosis;
• possible complications.
At the end of course student will be able:
• to summarize information about relevant diagnosis;
• to recognize different disease of respiratory system;
• to use the appropriate methods in diagnostic process;
• to prescribe an appropriate examination plan;
• to prescribe an appropriate treatment plan;
• to recognize complications.
On successful completion of the course, students will be able to develop an investigation plan for pulmonary diseases, explain laboratory and other additional examination results, prescribe treatment.
