Objective

Provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge of the main principles of public speech and presentation, to develop students’ presentation skills and abilities.
Upgrade skills and abilities of developing a powerful and effective presentation.
Develop skills to present information accurately, concisely, convincingly and reasonably, using visual aids and other materials.
As far as possible, discover weak points in own rhetoric and presentation skills and improve the contact with the audience (customer).

Tasks:
Acquire presentation skills and abilities by speaking to different audiences. Develop speech and presentation skills, focusing on language, style, impact on the audience and the skills to listen and hear.
Develop skills and abilities to work with information sources, including work with sources of the chosen specialty and their analysis.
Develop and improve professional skills and abilities, identifying, solving and explaining problems, including issues of legal hermeneutics.
Improve the students’ practical knowledge of presentation skills and abilities and their various aspects, thus deepening the understanding of different approaches and beliefs in presentation issues, focusing on linguistic and marketing issues.

Prerequisites

Skills and abilities to use literary language and terminology; preliminary knowledge of logic and psychology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

By mastering the programme students will improve and understand the basic principles of a modern presentation and will have acquired practical skills in making presentations and will be able to choose the most appropriate visual aids to create the major impact on the audience.

Skills

Able to behave confidently, openly and at ease during the presentation; able to use the language and speech to enhance the impact on the audience, including the use of keywords, which are important for the successful provision of information to different audiences, manage and involve the audience during the presentation; to respond to questions of the audience and overcome objections.

Competence

On successful completion of the course students are able to use the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities in real practical communication situations in different areas of life.
