Objective

To develop students' understanding of the sociological theories, main concepts of social psychology, human socialisation process and the influence of social environment as well as the science of psychology and its relationship to other sciences – human cognitive and emotional sphere and personality.

Prerequisites

Secondary school knowledge of social sciences.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Recognizes theories of sociology and psychology. Defines the basic concepts and research methods of general and social psychology. Identifies the stages of the socialization process, as well as the basic concepts of personality, cognitive and emotional spheres.

Skills

High-quality collection of human life history.
Describes personality, cognitive and emotional spheres, as well as social environment factors and their impact on the individual.

Competence

Analyzes the impact of individual life events on the socialization process and personality development. Understands individual behavior and needs in different social situations.
