Objective

Develop the students’ ability to conduct research: development of the research design, formulation of goals, tasks and hypothesis, selection of appropriate research methods and data processing methods. Draw conclusions based on the analysis of the obtained data.

Prerequisites

Successfully completed study courses: Applied sociology: quantitative and qualitative methods; Research methodology and logic; Semester Paper: a person in the social environment; Basic Statistics.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

In-depth theoretical knowledge of the chosen research topic.

Skills

Develop and carry out research in the placement institution in accordance with ethical standards.
Obtain and systematise data for research purposes.
Use the application software needed for social work research.
Analyse research data.
The ability to interpret the obtained data.

Competence

Will be able to apply research skills to the analysis of social problems in the placement environment. Will be able to find, select, analyse and use scientific literature, prepare a scientific literature review, carry out data processing, collect the information obtained, critically analyse it, provide own assessment and present the results.
