To give insight into the research methods in Public health sciences. To make students form scientific systematic and analytic thinking.
To develop understanding and skills on separate stages of research starting with generation of ideas, formulating the basic problem of hypothesis, making the research plan (design), collecting of data and planning of analysis till the description of research. During research the students will get an idea on formulating qualitative and quantitative approach in making a research plan.
Content of study subject – Quantitative and Qualitative Paradigm for the study. Theoretic base for research. Abstraction. Conceptions. Construction. Theorem. Principles. Establishing a research problem. Hypothesis. Questions of research. Study design. Sample. Acquiring of data in qualitative and quantitave research. Quality assurance of data. Data analysis steps. Writing a Master's paper, etc. research papers (publication). Demands for publications.

To formulate the research problem or hypothesis;
To make research design and set certain tasks:
To build up a research chart, define constructs, processes and their outcome, which will be studied, and look for measuring instruments for their assessment;
To make a useful and reliable survey or interview protocol.
To define statistical data analysis methods.
