About Study Course
Objective
Objective of the course is to develop knowledge and skills to plan and realize systematic review concerning specific clinical topics in rehabilitation and critically analyze scientific publications and their results; to develop skills to use evidence in making decisions in practice that lead to the best outcomes for patients.
Prerequisites
Fundamentals of research methodology.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to distinguish different forms of evidence for practice and to appraise evidence from different sources.
Students will train to construct answerable clinical questions. To create search plans to locate evidence relevant to rehabilitation practice. Integrate evidence to inform decision-making. Critically review literature on the reasoning and decision-making in rehabilitation. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using conceptual frameworks to guide reasoning and decision-making.
Students will develop strategies for using evidence to inform rehabilitation practice. Disseminate findings from a systematic search of research evidence. Summarize existing evidence related to a specific problem and make a decision based upon it.
