About Study Course
Objective
To master some health sport terminology and to develop communicative competences for operating both in academic and vocational contexts.
Prerequisites
The English language knowledge and skills at the secondary school level.
Learning outcomes
Having acquired the course content, students will be able to:
• describe the functions of the human body parts and organs;
• name the principles of a healthy lifestyle;
• explain the effect of a healthy lifestyle on the body functioning;
• name various pieces of fitness equipment and explain their use;
• describe sports injuries and to give advice on their treatment.
Having acquired the course content, students will be able to read specialized literature, use appropriate language in communication with clients, define terminology, prepare and give a presentation.
Having acquired the course content, students will be able to use fitness terminology in various communicative situations.
