Biology and Genetics (BUMK_055)
About Study Course
Objective
Acquire knowledge of the biological processes in an organism to understand the maintenance of human health and development of diseases, as well as to obtain necessary skills in order to use this knowledge in practice.
Prerequisites
Biology, chemistry at secondary school level.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will have acquired basic knowledge of cellular and genetic processes in the human and genesis of pathologies.
Upon completion of the course, students will have acquired skills in working with a microscope, analysing and recording observations and in solving simple tasks in genetics.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to analyse cases in medical genetics. They will evaluate the role of organoids in functioning of tissues, organs and the body.
