Objective

To provide knowledge and develop skills to plan and model effective rehabilitation programs based on scientific evidence, as well as to develop skills to develop a plan and analysis for the evaluation of their effectiveness and quality.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of clinical medicine and medical rehabilitation, understanding of forms and types of medical rehabilitation, understanding of evidence-based practice, knowledge and understanding of medical rehabilitation organization and management, service costing, knowledge of medical rehabilitation legislation, knowledge and skills of measurements in medical rehabilitation, knowledge in health care quality management and improvement.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Describes and explains the theoretical concepts and elements of effective program planning (steps, planning levels, principles of needs, opportunities and risk assessment at different levels). Describes the process of developing medical rehabilitation programs. Describes and explains the factors that influence the development and implementation of medical rehabilitation programs. Describes the principles, quality criteria and indicators for evaluating and analyzing the results of medical rehabilitation programs.

Skills

Evaluates and analyzes needs, opportunities and risks for successful planning, design and development of medical rehabilitation programs. Selects and plans appropriate, specific program elements. Selects and justifies measurements of program results at different levels. Evaluates and analyzes the effectiveness indicators and quality criteria of medical rehabilitation programs.

Competence

Plans and develops effective medical rehabilitation programs that address the needs of target groups and are integrated into social, cultural, economic, institutional and political contexts.
Critically evaluates and analyzes the results, efficiency indicators and quality criteria of existing or newly created medical rehabilitation programs in order to develop and improve them.
