Objective

To inform on the approach of the Xi Jinping government to the development of China's foreign policy, to analyze its global and regional impact; to conceptualize it in the context of IR theories.

Prerequisites

In order to successfully complete the study course, the students need prior knowledge of International Relations theories.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Knowledge of the foreign policy framework of the People's Republic of China during the Xi Jinping rule (A community of shared future for mankind, Belt and Road Initiative, Major country diplomacy concept, etc.).

Skills

Ability to identify the features of Chinese political discourse influencing the international arena after the 19th Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, linking them with the foreign policy pursued by the PRC.

Competence

Analytical expertise related to the research of the People's Republic of China.
